Classical Guitar:
Students will learn proper technique, participate in duet work, and participate in performance practice. Students will study music from the renaissance, baroque, classical, and modern eras. Students will also study many pieces of lute, violin, harpsichord, and piano works transcribed for the classical guitar. Classical guitar students will also participate in accompaniment roles for flute and voice students.
Piano Lessons
Covering many genres of piano music, students will gain solid understanding of technique, posture, and performance. Special attention will be given to coordination, finger independence, and proper sight reading skills. Piano students will also participate in accompaniment roles for students of flute and voice.
Flute Lessons:
Students will participate in careful and appropriate technique training with focus on tone, poise, and intonation. Students will study a wide range of music from the renaissance, baroque, classical, and modern eras. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in duet work with piano and classical guitar students.
Voice Lessons
Lessons will focus on all aspects of voice training including tone, projection, intonation, proper breathing, stage presence, and performance. Students of voice will have one on one instruction with piano and/or classical guitar accompaniment.
One on One Instruction:
Reducing the student to teacher ratio improves communication while allowing the teacher to focus his or her teaching skills on that particular student. This kind of personalized attention is virtually unattainable in group teaching environments. We offer specializes, one to one student to teacher ratios, and as a result, our students continue to succeed in their academic goals.
